How do Medicare Advantage Plans work?
Medicare Advantage plans, commonly known as Medicare Part C, must provide the same benefits as Medicare Parts A and B, which cover hospitalization and medical visits, respectively. Medicare Advantage plans often provide Medicare Part D prescription medication coverage, as well as benefits not covered by Medicare, such as routine dental care, eye exams and glasses, and hearing aids, and may include benefits not covered by Medicare.

What is the Pros of Medicare Advantage
– Additional benefits, such as cost reductions or subsidies for hearing, dental, and vision care, may be available.
– Coverage premiums could be reduced.

Who is eligible to sign up for a Medicare Advantage plan?

What is the difference between Medicare and Medicare Advantage?
Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance) are included in Original Medicare (federal government Medicare program). You’ll also need to enroll in Medicare Part D if you want drug coverage. You can purchase Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) to help cover your out-of-pocket payments, and you can visit any Medicare-accepting health care provider in the United States.
Medicare Advantage is a bundled plan that covers Medicare Part A, Part B, and, in some cases, Part D. Out of pocket costs may be cheaper, and most plans include cost savings or subsidies for eye and dental care. Medicare Advantage enrollees will only be able to see doctors who are part of the plan’s network.
Do most Medicare Advantage plans offer prescription drug coverage?
Prescription drug coverage is available in most (but not all) Medicare Advantage plans. If you want prescription drug coverage, make sure it’s covered in the plan you’re considering before enrolling.
Is Medicare Advantage accepted by all doctors?
Medicare Advantage is not accepted by all doctors. In most cases, you must seek medical care from physicians in your Medicare Advantage plan’s network. Some Medicare Advantage plans only enable you to use out-of-network providers in an emergency; others Medicare Advantage Plans to allow you to use them whenever you want, but at a higher out-of-pocket expense.
